Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover (Walt Disney World)

Located in the Tomorrowland area of the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover is a shining example of how the simple attractions can be some of the most enjoyable.

This attraction originally opened in 1975 and takes guests on a leisurely ride (less than 7 miles per hour) above Tomorrowland on an elevated “tram” and experience some of the best views in all of the Magic Kingdom theme park.

The attraction itself was recently refurbished and reopened for guest in April 2021.  The ride will take you past (and through) a number of the parks attractions including the Tomorrowland Speedway, Space Mountain, the all new TRON Lightcycle Run (currently under construction), the AstroOrbiter, the Carousel of Progress and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover is one of our favorite rides and it typically does not have a significant wait times.  Can can board this attraction by taking an moving walkway up to the second floor – the entrance is just behind “The Lunching Pad”, underneath the AstroOrbiter.
