The Complete Guide to the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels (2021)

Just adjacent to Disney Springs along Hotel Plaza Boulevard and East Buena Vista Drive, there area several resort hotels located on the grounds of the Walt Disney World Resort that comprise the Disney Springs Resort area.

While technically not considered “on-site” Disney hotels and not owned by Disney, these resorts are “Official” Walt Disney World hotels which provide a host of benefits that are not offered outside of on-site Disney properties.

When considering where to stay when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, these hotels should be on any savvy travelers short list.

The Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels

There are seven (7) hotels which are part of the the Disney Resort area.  These individual hotels are as follows:

Benefits of Staying at a Disney Springs Resort Area Hotel

When guests choose to stay at a Disney Springs Resort Area hotel they receive a number of benefits that are not available to hotels outside of Walt Disney World.  Theses benefits include:

  • EXTRA MAGIC HOURS:  Extra Magic Hours is the best reason to stay at a Disney Springs Resort Area hotel.  Each day one of the Walt Disney World theme parks stays open longer and guests staying on one these hotels are welcome to enjoy this amazing benefit.  This benefit will expire December 31, 2021 and is temporarily suspended at this time.
  • FASTPASS+ RESERVATIONS:  Guests staying at a Disney Springs Resort Area hotel can make Fastpass+ reservations (with a valid theme park ticket or annual pass) up to 60 days in advance of arrival.  Ticket holders and annual pass members not staying at a Disney resort hotel get to make Fastpass+ reservations 30 days in advance of arrival.  This benefit will expire December 31, 2021 and is temporarily suspended at this time.
  • FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE: Every 30 minutes guests can take a complimentary shuttle bus to Walt Disney World theme parks and water parks.  The shuttle service benefit is suspended at this time.
  • EXCLUSIVE PASSPORT: Guests staying at a Disney Springs Resort Area hotel enjoy a free passport which provides discounts at select Disney Springs retailers and eateries.
  • THEME PARK TICKETS: There are staffed ticket service desks in each hotel where guests can buy theme park tickets.
  • ADVANCED TEE TIMES: Guests staying at Disney Springs Resort Area hotels can reserve a tee time up to 90 days in advance on any of the four championship golf courses at Walt Disney World.  Discounts on greens fees are also available.

Since “on-side” Disney hotels are not part of a hotel rewards programs, guests that are members of the individual Disney Resort Area Hotel loyalty programs (ie: Hilton Honors, IHG Rewards Club, Wyndham Rewards, etc) can earn points while still be able to enjoy great benefits.

Endless Summer Tip:  The benefits of having Extra Magic Hours, 60-day advance Fastpass+ reservations and the free shuttle service are highly desirable and worth paying a premium over an “off-site” hotel property.
