The Complete Guide to the Bonnet Creek Resort at Walt Disney World

Located adjacent to Walt Disney World, the Bonnet Creek Resort is a 482-acre master planned resort development. The property itself is surrounded on three sides by Disney, with the fourth side boarding Intestate 4.

While immediately next door to Disney, the property was never part of the original land acquisition by Walt Disney in the 1960’s. Development planning on the Bonnet Creek Resort started in the 1990’s and the first resort property (known as the Fairfield Orlando at Bonnet Creek Resort) opened in June of 2004. Today this resort is know as the Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek.

As it stands today, the Bonnet Creek Resort features a mixture of four individually flagged, upscale hotel properties and a 1,500 +/- unit timeshare (resort vacation club) property. These resorts attract visitors to the area not only for a Disney vacation, but for business meetings & conventions, spa visits and golf outings.

When looking for a alternative to an on-site Walt Disney World hotel, the properties within the Bonnet Creek are attractive options for travelers loyal to specific hotel brands and rewards programs.
