Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is widely considered the best hotel property owned by Disney.  Located within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom, this 867-room resort is situated along the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon and features some of the best views at Walt Disney World.

Amenities at the Grand Floridian include two resort pools with a waterslide & water features, an on-site stop for the Walt Disney World Monorail, a world class spa, on-site tennis & fitness facilities and resort wide transportation (monorail, shuttle bus and water taxi service).  This hotel also features some of the best dining experiences including the award winning Victoria & Albert’s restaurant.

Four Seasons Orlando at the Walt Disney World Resort

The Four Seasons Orlando is located directly on the grounds of the Walt Disney World Resort just outside of the Magic Kingdom.  This 443-room, AAA Diamond Resort is one of the finest hotel properties in the State of Florida.

Located on 26-acres, the Four Seasons features a five-acre water park called Explorer Island that features a lazy river pool and two water slides, theme park transportation, on-site character dining, an 18-hole Tom Fazio designed championship golf course, fitness & tennis facilities and a world class spa.

Depending on the time of year, hotel rates at the Four Seasons are among the most expensive in the Orlando market and typically start from $1,000 per night for a traditional theme park view room.

Waldorf Astoria Orlando

The Waldorf Astoria Orlando is located adjacent to Walt Disney World in the Bonnet Creek Resort.  Originally opened in 2009, this award winning hotel first opened in 2009 and features 502 guest rooms and suites.

Amenities are extensive and are shared with the adjacent Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek.  These include the Waltdorf Astoria Golf Club (with 18-hole championship golf course), the Waldorf Astoria Spa, multiple pools including the three-acre resort pool complex at the adjacent Signia by Hilton, state-of-the-art fitness center and theme park transportation.

Loews Portofino Bay Hotel

AC Hotel Orlando Downtown

The only hotel on our list outside of the theme park and convention center areas is the AC Hotel Orlando Downtown.  This sleek looking, modern style 180-room hotel is located in the heart of downtown Orlando near the Amway Center and the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Margaritaville Resort Orlando

One of the most fun hotels on our list is the Margaritaville Resort Orlando.  Located approximately 15 minutes southwest of Walt Disney World, this 300-acre resort features a 184-room hotel and a huge number individually owned Margaritaville Cottages.  It is also immediately adjacent to the Island H20 Water Park and the Promenade at Sunset Walk shopping & entertainment complex.

Amenities include three resort pools including a massive pool at the Fins Up Beach Club, a children’s water play area, state-of-the-art fitness facility, a full-service spa and numerous organized activities.

Rosen Shingle Creek Orlando

Often overlooked by many vacation travelers is the Rosen Shingle Creek.  Located fairly close to the Orange County Convention Center, this massive luxury resort sits on 255 acres and consists of a 1,501 room hotel with 524,000 square feet of convention space.

Hyatt Regency Orlando International Drive

The Hyatt Regency Orlando International Drive is the premier convention hotel as it is located immediately adjacent to the Orange County Convention Center and in the heart of the International Drive corridor.  This massive two-tower resort features 1,641 rooms and more than 300,000 square feet of meeting & event space.
