The Location of Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista

The Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista has one of the most convenient locations near the Walt Disney World Resort, just two miles north of Disney Springs.  The hotel is also very close to International Drive, SeaWorld Orlando, the Orange County Convention Center and Interstate 4. Overall, the property is well located near all the Orlando area theme parks, the Orlando International Airport and several of Orlando’s major shopping & entertainment destinations.

It will take travelers about 25 minutes to get to the hotel from the Orlando International Airport and around 10 minutes to get to the Orlando / Orange County Convention Center.  

There are several restaurants and retail venues within a very short distance to the hotel which include Olive Garden, Kobe’ Japanese Steakhouse, Paddywagon Irish Pub and KPOT Korean BBQ.  Additional there is a Starbucks located just outside the front door.

Theme parks and other local destinations are short distance to the hotel.  Per Google Maps, travel time is as follows (non-peak hours):

  • Disney Springs: Less than 10 minutes.
  • The Magic Kingdom Park: Approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
  • EPCOT: Approximately 15 minutes.
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Hotels Amenities at the Hotel

While not small at 490-room, the Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista is not one of the major resort hotels in the area outside of Walt Disney World so it does not have all the features & amenities of the larger properties.  However, it’s amenities are considered to be adequate and include:

Two Outdoor Swimming Pools

The hotel features two heated outdoor swimming pools that have ample patio seating. The zero-entry Beach Pool is perfect for smaller children and has a water play area. The adjacent Slide Pool has a two story water slide that is supervised by a staff member.  

The pool area is open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM and towels are provided near the pool entrance.  The water slide opens at 10:00 AM and closes at 6:00 PM.

Fitness Center

The Sheraton features a fully equipped fitness center with modern cardiovasular machines as well as an ample amount of strength training equipment including free weights.

The fitness center is open 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.

Top of the Palms Spa

The Sheraton features the Top of the Palms Spa which is full service spa and wellness facility that is located directly within the hotel.  Guests can rejuvenate with a variety of treatments such as a signature hot stone massage, therapeutic foot treatment, or cleansing facial. The spa offers an array of healing and relaxing services to guests looking to unwind during their stay at the resort.

During our most recent stay, the spa was offering a $150 special which included a 50 minute massage, 50 minute European facial, 20 minute foot treatment and a hand paraffin.

Recreation

Along with a large video game room, the Sheraton has an extensive outdoor patio area for recreational activities including a large chessboard, Connect 4 game,  and a fire pit.

The Sheraton Orlando  Lake Buena Vista offers complimentary shuttle bus service to the Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney Springs, SeaWorld Orlando and the Universal Orlando Resort.

At 490-rooms, the Sheraton is considered one of the mid-sized hotel for this area. Room Types range from traditional guest rooms with one king or two queen beds (some feature pool views), one-bedroom suites, two-bedroom family suites and one-bedroom executive suites. In-room amenities include flat panel televisions, working desk with chair, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, iron / ironing board, in-room safe and a hair dryer.

Zest Restaurant Bar & Grill is the hotel’s primary bar and eatery.  This venue is open daily from 7:00 AMto 11:00 AM for breakfast and 4:00 PM to midnight for dinner service.  

27 Palms

27 Palms is open daily lunch from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM. This poolside dining venue serves light bites and specialty cocktails. 

Spring Board Marketplace

The Spring Board Marketplace is open daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM and offers a variety of snacks and beverages.
