The Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa is an extended stay condo-hotel property that is perfect for both vacation and business travelers visiting Walt Disney World or any other destination in the Orlando area.  The resort is located just minutes to all four Walt Disney World theme parks and convenient to the Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando and the Orlando / Orange County Convention Center.

This 475-room property was originally constructed in 2006 – 2007 and features two outdoor pools, an 24-hours fitness center with strength training and cardiovascular equipment, Disney parks shuttle, game room, children’s playground and an on-site spa. Each unit features a fully-equipped kitchen for guests to cook their own meals.  During our most recent visit in the late summer of 2022, the building and grounds were found to be in good condition and well maintained.

The hotel is close to a number of shopping, dining and entertainment venues including the adjacent Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores which is a 238,000 outlet mall.  The outlet mall includes Nike, Reebok, Ann Taylor and Tommy Hilfiger.   Also in the area a number of restaurants, a Publix Supermarket and a Wal-Mart Supercenter.

There are multiple ways to get to the Orlando International Airport from this location.  During non-peak times we would recommend taking the Beach Line Expressway (SR 528) west to Interstate 4.  Head west on Interstate 4 to Apopka Vineland Road (exit 68) and the resort is approximately two miles to the south, just past World Center Drive.

During peak times Interstate 4 could become a parking lot or an alternative is to take the south exit of the Orlando International Airport (527A) to SR 417.  Travelers should head west on SR 417 to SR 536 (exit 6).  Just one block from the exit is SR 535 (Apopka Vineland Road) – head south on Apopka Vineland Road and the property will be on the left (west side) in less than one-half mile.

Since the resort is located just outside of the Walt Disney World Resort, the four Disney theme parks as well as the two Disney water parks and Disney Springs are a very short distance.  Barring any significant delays, guests can reach the parking area of all the Disney parks in less than 20 minutes. 

Travel time per Google Maps (non-peak hours) to the other Orlando area theme parks and significant destinations include:

  • The Universal Orlando Resort: approximately 25 minutes
  • SeaWorld Orlando: approximately 15 to 20 minutes
  • ICON Park: approximately 15 to 20 minutes
  • Downtown Orlando: approximately 25 to 30 minutes

The Lake Buena Vista Resort & Spa is a full-service resort that has a large amount of on-site amenities for both adults and children.

Outdoor Pools

The main amenity at the Lake Buena Vista Village Resort & Spa is the Pirates Plunge themed pool.  The lengthy pool features a zero-depth entrance with water features surrounded by lounger chairs, an activity hut and a poolside bar & grill.  Guests can’t miss the enormous pirate ship which houses a two-story water slide and a number of water features.

Fitness Center

The resort features a 24-hour accessible fitness center that is located on the first floor of building one.  The fitness center has a number of cardiovascular machines as well as strength training equipment and features televisions and fresh towels.

Playground

The Little Pirate’s Playground which is situated at the rear of the pool.  The playground is fully fenced, suitable for kids under 8 years of age and is open from 8:00 AM until dusk.

Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel

The Lake Buena Resort Village & Spa is a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor hotel which features an on-site guest services desk for Disney vacation planning as well as transportation to the Walt Disney World theme parks.

Theme Park Transportation

The hotel provides fee based shuttle bus transportation to The Walt Disney World Resort theme parks  and the Universal Orlando Resort.  The cost is $13 per person and infants ages two and less are free of charge.  Reservations are required and can be book up to 7 days in advance.

While the daily schedule depending on the time of year, following are the pickup and return times as of October 1, 2022:

  • Magic Kingdom: Departure at 8:25 AM and Return 5:20 PM (TTC space C7)
  • EPCOT: Departure at 9:20 AM and Return 9:20 PM and 10:20 PM (Space 34)
  • Universal Orlando: Departure at 8:30 AM and Return 7:00 PM (Universal bus loop space 75)

Game Room

The 24-hour game room is a great place to relax and have some fun with friends & family.  Located in building 1 adjacent to Frankie Farrell’s the game room features arcade fames, games of skill and pool tables.

Reflections Spa & Salon

The Lake Buena Resort Village & Spa is home to the full-service Reflections Spa & Salon.  Reflections is located on the top floor of the lobby building and features 12,000 square feet of treatments rooms for massages, facials, body treatments, manicures & pedicures and hair care treatments.  

The spa is open from Thursday to Monday and since hours vary, please check with guest services during the time of your stay.

The main dining option at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa is Frankie Farrell’s Irish Pub & Grille.  Open daily from noon until 10:00 PM, Frankie Farrell’s features a number of specialties including appetizers, burgers, Irish classics like Bangers & Mash, salads, steaks, chicken and wraps to go along with 32 draft beers. There are 17 televisions tuned to the current sports game of the day and take out/delivery is available.

LBV Village Bar & Grill

This poolside restaurant is open daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and located at the Pirates Plunge pool.  The LBV Village Bar & Grill features breakfast items, appetizers, burgers and salads as well as beer, wine and specialty cocktails.

Pizza Hut Express

Open daily from 5:00 PM to midnight, guests can get a hot pizza, sandwich or entrée at Pizza Hut Express.  Located in building 1, Pizza Hut Express is available for takeout and delivery.

Convenience Store & Gift Shop

The Convenience Store & Gift Shop is open daily from 7:00 AM to 1:00 AM and features groceries, snacks & drinks, toiletries, medicines, souvenirs and more.  

The Rooms and Nightly Rates

There are a number of different condominium style suites available at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa which range in size from one to four-bedrooms (800 to 2,100 square feet).  Each suite includes a fully equipped kitchen, washer / dryer, dining area, living room and balcony.

  • One Bedroom Suite:  800 square feet, sleeps up to four.
  • Two Bedroom / Two-Bathroom Suite: 1,080 square feet, sleeps up to six.
  • Three Bedroom / Two-Bathroom Suite: 1,250 square feet, sleeps up to eight.
  • Three Bedroom / Three Bathroom Suite: 1,400 square feet, sleeps up to eight.
  • Four Bedroom / Four Bathroom Suite: 1,800 square feet, sleeps up to 10.

Like most hotels in the greater Orlando area, rates at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa are highly seasonal and we have found that rates and availability do vary quite considerably throughout the year.  

The rates shown below are the best available rate for two adults and two children in three different room types offered at this hotel.   These rates were obtained directly from the hotel web site at the time of publication.  Please note that nightly rates can change at any time and the resort may have a minimum number of nights during select periods.

Own a Condo Unit at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa:

The Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa is one of the best places to own a vacation rental.  Unlike a timeshare or vacation club, when purchasing a unit at this resort owners received a deed to the property and enjoy property appreciation as well as possible tax benefits. 

Owners can enjoy the property for themselves, receive rental income by using the resort’s rental program or rent the unit through on-line services like Airbnb and VRBO (cleaning and management would be needed).

The resort’s website indicated that their rental program oversees the following:

  • Resort security
  • Advertising and promotion
  • Reservations for the resort
  • Check-in and check-out services
  • Housekeeping and maintenance
  • Financial duties on behalf of unit owners
  • Collection and distribution of Home Owners Association expenses
