In this article we are going to review some of the best Marriott brand hotels within the State of Florida but since new hotels are being added regularly, this list will updated quite frequently. You will note that although the Ritz-Carlton hotels are part of the Marriott family, we have not included them in this list since we feel that are in a category in and of themselves.  Also not included is Marriott brand time share / vacation club properties.

The JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes

One of the most unique properties on this list is the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes which is part of the 500-acre Grande Lakes Resort. The JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes shares the property with the Ritz-Carlton Orlando and Marriott’s Lakeshore Reserve vacation club property along with the Residences at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando.

This 1,000-room resort is located minutes from SeaWorld Orlando, Walt Disney World and The Universal Orlando Resort. Grande Lakes features an 18-hole Greg Norman designed Signature Golf Course and a 40,000 square foot Ritz-Carlton spa that includes 40 separate treatments rooms, private spa pool and café and a 6,000 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center.  The highlight of the resort is the 24,000 square foot lazy river pool and the AquaCourse 360.

If you follow the Endless Summer family at this website as well as our YouTube channel then you know that one of our favorite Orlando area hotels is the Gaylord Palms Orlando Resort & Convention Center.  This monstrous resort features 1,718 rooms and 106 suites that are surrounding by more than four and one-half acres of air-conditioned atrium that is segregated into four themed areas.  

Amenities at this resort include the Cypress Springs Water Park which features a large zero-entry pool, multi-story water play area, multiple water slides and a double “FlowRider” surfing simulator.  In addition, there is the all new Crystal River Rapids which is a fast moving lazy river and the quiet South Beach Pool.  Additional amenities include a 24-hour fitness center and a 25,000 square foot spa.

The JW Marriott Marco Island

In 2017 the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort underwent a $320 million renovation and expansion transforming this hotel into one of the best luxury beach resorts in Florida.  The 747-room beachfront resort features three two buildings including a new 94-room “adults-exclusive” tower.

Amenities at this 10-acre resort including a private beach club, on-site spa, multiple resort pools including a rooftop pool, a 12,000 square foot entertainment venue and a state-of-the-art fitness center.  Guests also have access to two private championship golf courses.

The Marriott Stanton South Beach

One of the most popular vacation destinations in Florida is South Beach and one of the best places to stay is the Marriott Stanton South Beach.  This 224-room boutique hotel is located at the southern end of Ocean Drive directly on the white sands of Miami Beach and just a few blocks to the world famous Joe’s Stone Crab restaurant.

The W South Beach

Having recently completed a $30 million renovation and upgrade, the W South Beach should be at the top of anyone’s list who plans to visit Miami Beach.  The renovation of the W South Beach increased the number of rooms to 408 with the addition of the Queen Studio and Fantastic Suites.
