The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve is the latest addition to the on-site hotel offering at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.  This all-new Marriott brand hotel opened in September 2021 and is one of the best on-site hotel options at Walt Disney World..

The Swan Reserve is located immediately adjacent to the Walt Disney World Dolphin and Walt Disney World Swan which it shares amenities and dining options.  It also is within walking distance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot or guests can take the water taxi service which is available to both theme parks.

 This 14-story boutique resort features 349 guest rooms, 149 suites and two Presidential suites.  There is an 4,000 square foot exclusive rooftop area known as “Vue” which is available for special events including meetings, weddings and receptions and offers spectacular view of Walt Disney World.  Vue also includes a 1,000 square foot outdoor terrace and offers spectacular views of fireworks from several Walt Disney World locations.

What are the hotel rates at the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve?

Depending on the time of year, hotel rates at the Swan Reserve average from around $300 per night for a standard room to more than $1,000 per night for the larger suites that feature amazing views of Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the surrounding resorts.

How close is the Swan Reserve to the Walt Disney World theme parks?

The Swan Reserve is within walking distance to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios; there is also complimentary water taxi service which departs from behind the Walt Disney World Dolphin hotel.  The Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom are within a 10-minute shuttle bus ride.

Is there a Resort Fee or Parking Charge at the Swan Reserve?

It is anticipated that resort fees and parking charges will be similar to that of the Dolphin and Swan hotels.  A resort fee of $35 per night includes high-speed internet and other amenities.  Overnight parking charges are $32.00 per night and valet parking is available for $39 per night.  

Can you see fireworks from the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve?

The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve features the rooftop “Vue” event space where guests will be able to watch fireworks from two different Disney locations.  In addition, there are Epcot View rooms which should offer a great vantage point to watch fireworks.

Can I use reward points when staying at the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve?

The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve is a part of the Marriott Bonvoy rewards program so members can earn or use reward points during their stay.  The number of redemption points needed for a free night range from around 45,000 to more than 80,000 points.

The Location of the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve

The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve hotel is located in the Epcot Resort Area of the Walt Disney World Resort. This area features several individual resort hotels, five which surround Crescent Lake and area interconnected by walking paths, several restaurants and shopping venues, and immediate access to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios via boat transportation as well as walking paths and gondola service known as the Disney Skyliner

The resort hotels located in the Epcot Resort Area are as follows:

Guests can get to the Epcot Resort area from Interstate 4 by using the Epcot Center Drive exit, heading west to East Buena Vista Drive.  Epcot Resorts Boulevard is located  approximately one mile west of Epcot Center Drive along East Buena Vista Drive.   The Walt Disney World Swan is the first hotel on the western entrance of Epcot Resorts Boulevard.

It is a fairly direct route from the Orlando International Airport via SR 528 (the Beachline Expressway) to Interstate 4 west or State Road 417 to World Center Drive which becomes Epcot Center Drive at Interstate 4.  Barring any significant traffic issues, it will take approximately 30 minutes to get from the airport to the resort.  The Orlando / Orange County Convention Center is also close the hotel, just 10 miles along Interstate 4 east towards downtown Orlando.

Since the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve is located within the boundaries of the Walt Disney World Resort, all four Disney theme parks as well as the two Disney water parks and Disney Springs are a very short distance (the hotel is within walking distance to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios).

Travel time per Google Maps (non-peak hours) to the other Orlando area theme parks and significant destinations include:

  • The Universal Orlando Resort: approximately 20 minutes
  • SeaWorld Orlando: approximately 15 minutes

Grounds is the quick service / grab-and-go dining option at the Swan Reserve.  Open daily lunch services, guests will enjoy sandwiches, pastries and coffee.

Guests of the the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve will enjoy poolside dining for light bites and specialty cocktails.

24-Hour Room Service
