Originally constructed in 2006, this 1,501-room hotel is one of the largest full-service convention properties in the central Florida area.  There is 524,000 square feet of convention and event space including a 95,000 square foot column-free ballroom and 99 individual meeting rooms.  The largest capacity room can accommodate 9,500 people.

The Location of the Rosen Shingle Creek

The Rosen Shingle Creek is located near the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Access to the hotel is fairly simple as there is an interchange at Universal Boulevard from SR-528 (Beachline Highway), just adjacent to the hotel.  Additionally, the hotel is  fairly close to the SeaWorld Orlando and several of Orlando’s major shopping & entertainment destinations.

It will take travelers about 15 – 20 minutes to get to the hotel from the Orlando International Airport and less than five minutes to get to the Orlando / Orange County Convention Center.  

In addition to what is offered on-site, there are several shopping centers and retail venues within a very short distance along Universal Boulevard just west of the hotel.  Theme parks and other local destinations are short distance to the hotel.  Per Google Maps, travel time is as follows (non-peak hours):

  • Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort: Approximately than 15 minutes.
  • The Magic Kingdom Park:  Approximately 20 minutes.
  • EPCOT at the Walt Disney World Resort: Approximately 20 minutes.
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Approximately 20 minutes.
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Approximately 20 to 25 minutes.
  • The Universal Orlando Resort: Approximately 15 minutes
  • SeaWorld Orlando: Less than 10 minutes.
  • Downtown Orlando: Approximately 25 minutes.
  • Vineland Premium Outlets: Approximately 15 minutes.
  • Orlando Premium Outlets: Approximately 20 minutes.

It should also be noted that the new theme park, EPIC Universe (part of the Universal Orlando Resort), is just immediately to the west of the hotel.

Resort Swimming Pools

There are four individual pools at the Rosen Shingle Creek which include:

  • Lap Pool
  • Zero Entry Family Pool

The family pool and kiddie pool are adjacent to one another and patio area surrounding the quiet pool features private cabanas which are available to rent.  There are two hot tubs; one by the family pool with another by the quiet pool. 

Guests will find extensive patio seating surrounding each pool.  For poolside dining, Cat-Tails Pool Bar and Grill is just outside the quiet pool area.

The Shingle Creek Golf Club

The Rosen Shingle Creek is home to the Shingle Creek Golf Club which features an 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course designed by the Arnold Palmer Design Company.  The course plays 7,213 yard, has a rated of 74.3 and a slope of 137.  Additional features include:

  • Five individual tee boxes for all skill levels
  • High tech GPS systems on the golf carts
  • Complimentary golf valet parking
  • Walking distance to the resort
  • A 2,000 square foot pavilion for lunch and cocktails

The Spa at Shingle Creek

Located directly on site at the hotel, the 13,000 square foot Spa at Shingle Creek offers a variety of services.  Treatments including massages, specialty massage therapies, aromatherapy, facials & skin therapy treatments, hand & foot therapies and salon services.

The spa is open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM seven days a week.

Fitness Center

Guests visiting the hotel have access to the fitness center which includes a full compliment of cardio-vascular and strength training equipment.  Fees for the fitness center are $10 for 24 hours or $20 for the length of the stay.

Fitness training is available on an appointment only basis.

Theme Park Transportation

Transportation via shuttle buses to Universal Orlando Resort is complimentary and reservations are required 24 hours prior to department time.

A Land Remembered is a AAA Four Diamond restaurant that is inspired by a Patrick Smith novel that is reach in Florida history and landscapes.  Known for the Harris Ranch Black Angus Five Diamond Prime Beef as well as Gator Creek Stew, this dining venue is open daily for lunch and dinner service (reservations are recommended).

Cala Bella

The Rosen Shingle Creek features another AAA Four Diamond restaurant in Cala Bella.  This bistro dining experience features authentic Italian cuisine and soft piano music. Cala Bella is open nightly for dinner service at 5:30 PM.

Café Osceola

Café Osceola is the hotels primary breakfast restaurant serving a bountiful buffet of eggs & omelets, breakfast meats, smoked salmon, potatoes, fruit & berries, and fresh baked goods.  The buffet costs $26 per person but guests can order individual breakfast items ala carte.

The Rosen Shingle Creek has some of the largest conference facilities of any hotel in Florida.  There is 524,000 square feet of indoor & outdoor conference and event space.

There is a total of 410,000 square feet of indoor events space which includes:

The Rosen Shingle Creek is one the largest hotels in the area with 1,501 rooms including 195 suites, 411 king rooms, 950 queen double room and 75 ADA guest rooms.  There are 56 petite king suites, 69 executive parlor suites, 37 grande parlor suites, 30 hospitality suites and three Presidential suites.

In-room amenities are extensive and include premium linens, working desk with chair, flat panel television with premium and on-demand movies for rent, smart phone docking station, coffee maker, mini-refrigerator, iron / ironing board, in-room safe and a hair dryer.
