Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run | Disney’s Hollywood Studios

May The Force Be With You

Jump in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon which is the fastest ship in the entire galaxy and go a mission to a “smuggling mission” along with Hondo Ohnaka to obtain precious cargo from the evil First Order TIE fighters.

Your crew on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is comprised of six people, each will a different job and every role is critical to a successful mission.  The six crew comprise:

  • Pilot
  • Co-Pilot
  • Gunner 1
  • Gunner 2
  • Engineer 1
  • Engineer 2

Based on the highly successful movie franchise Star Wars, the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride is completely immersive so guests will feel like that are right in the middle of all the action. And immediately outside the attraction is a life-sized version of the Millennium Falcon which is a perfect photo spot.

Originally opened in May 2019 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida to much fanfare, the Millennium Falcon ride is one of the two major attractions that are located within Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (with the other being Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance).  Situated in the Black Spire Outpost area, guests will be completed immersed when when in section of the theme park com.

Check out our full, on-ride POV video of the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is suitable for all ages but it is limited to guests 38 inches in height or taller.  There is some slight motion to this ride but nothing that would be considered significant movements like a roller coaster or an aggressive flight simulator.  This is one of the rides that can’t be missed during your next visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Since wait times will easily exceed 45 to 60 minutes on a typical summer day, it is highly recommended to visit this attraction as early as possible. We at Endless Summer feel the best strategy is to get to the park when it opens, try to get in the Virtual Queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance as soon as it is available, then immediately jump on line for the Millennium Falcon.

It is recommended to be right in front of this attraction (with your cel phone NOT connected to Disney’s wifi) when attempting to get a “Boarding Group” for Rise of the Resistance.  It’s not an easy thing to do but as of late, they have been offering Virtual Queues at 10:00 AM and 2:oo PM.
