The JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort is a direct oceanfront resort that is located in the heart of Marco Island, Florida. Located directly of the sand just steps from the Gulf of Mexico, this family-friendly resort is a one of the original luxury hotels on Marco Island.

This 726-room property was originally constructed in 1971 and underwent a $300 million renovation & expansion in 2017 with the addition of an all new “Paradise by Sirene” Lanai Tower that features 94-rooms, an adults only lounge and rooftop pool, a 12,000 square foot family indoor entertainment area and 100,000 square feet of meeting space.

Additional property features include a private beach club with water sports activities, two large outdoor pools that overlook the Gulf of Mexico, a fully-equipped fitness center with strength training and cardiovascular equipment, organized activities, and the Spa by JW.

Amenities

The JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort is a resort that is perfect for those looking for a Florida “beach vacation”.  Located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the west side of Marco Island, amenities are extensive and there is something for everyone at this property.

The main amenity is the beach which includes a large private beach.  Included with the resort fee is four (4) lounge chairs, a beach umbrellas and towel service but the resort also offers day beds and watersports rentals.  Watersports rentals include:

  • Wave Runner rentals & 10,000 Islands Tour
  • Banana Boat Towing & Parasailing
  • Kayaks / Paddle Boards
  • Eco Tours & Sailing / Shelling Excursions

In addition to the beach, there are two large outdoor resort pools at the  JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort, both are located just steps from the beach.

The Tiki Pool features a waterfall and a children’s water play area along with extensive patio seating. Quinn’s Outdoor Pool is more modern in style and features private cabana rentals. The Tiki Pool closes at 7:00 PM but Quinn’s Pool remains open until 10:00 PM.  Both pools are heated and feature whirlpool tubs.

There is also a adults only rooftop pool in the Paradise by Sirene tower that has a large amount of patio seating and amazing views of the Gulf of Mexico.

The hotel also features The Spa by JW.  This full service spa provides a number of different treatments including massages, facials, body scrubs, wellness classes and salon services.  There is also a private pool for the exclusive use of the spa guests.  The spa is open daily from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM and appointments are required.

One of the very nice amenities that was added during the 2017 renovation is 10K Alley.  10K Alley is a family-friendly indoor entertainment venue that features a full service sports bar & restaurant, arcade games with prizes, Sports Simulator (golf, soccer, baseball, etc), six lanes of “Highway 66” style bowling and a six hole themed miniature golf course.

10K Alley is similar (but smaller) to a Dave & Busters so if you are traveling with children, definitely plan on spending some time here.

From pool-side dining, a grab-and-go marketplace and fine dining restaurants, there are a number of options at the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort.  The individual dining options at this hotel are as follows:

  • Ario: This upscale restaurant serves American cuisine including seafood and steaks. Ario is open daily for dinner service.
  • 10K Alley: Dine on burgers and light bites with your favorite craft beer in a family-friendly environment.  10K Alley is open daily for dinner service.
  • Tesoro: Adults only dining alfresco in the Lanai Tower.  Open daily from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM.
  • Maia: Guests will enjoy a breakfast buffet with morning cocktails.
  • Quinn’s on the Beach:  Located directly on the resort’s beach, guests can enjoy, burgers, sandwiches and cocktails just steps from the ocean. Quinn’s is open for lunch and dinner service.
  • Korals Sushi & Cocktail Lobby Bar: Open daily for dinner, guests can grab a cocktail and a small plate while watching the sun set.
  • 400 Pazzi’s: Open for lunch and dinner, guests will enjoy hand made pizzas, paninis and salads.
  • Kane Tiki Bar & Grill:  Located just adjacent to the beach, guests can dine Polynesian style for both lunch and dinner.
  • Cafe San Marco: Get your coffee at Cafe San Marco which also serves a variety of bagels, pastries and grab-and-go snacks. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Conferences and Events

From weddings and events to business conferences and meetings, the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort can accommodate gatherings of all sizes and types. With the 2017 expansion, the resort features 62 rooms with more than 140,000 square feet of meeting & event space. The largest space is the 30,000+ square foot ballroom which has a capacity of more than 3,000 guests.

In addition to the indoor event space, the hotel features a number of outdoor venues including the 14,100 square foot Sunset Terrace, 22,400 square feet at the Tiki Beach and 17,500 square feet at both Quinn’s Beach and Quinn’s Pool Beach.  

During our stay, there were two private meetings taking place where the attendees had several dining experiences right on the sand at Quinn’s Beach. The hotel also created a private beach seating area for the 400+ attendees with their own beach & water sports activities.

Lanai beachside suites are located in the Lanai Tower.  Guests just walk out of their patios and take a few steps before hitting the sand & warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

All rooms have flat panel televisions with cable television, mini-refrigerators, Wi-Fi, a work desk with chair, alarm clock, hair dryer, in room safe and an iron/ironing board.   Most rooms have private patios with pool, garden and Gulf of Mexico views.
