The Incredible Hulk Roller Coaster | Universal’s Islands of Adventure

The Incredible Hulk Roller Coaster is one of the most intense roller coasters at either of the Universal Orlando theme parks.  Manufactured by Gollinger & Mabillard (B&M) and originally opened in 1999, this roller coaster features a 3,670 foot long / 2:00+ minute ride at speeds of up to 67 miles per hour, a two-second launch of up to 40 miles per hour (with a Hulk roar) and seven incredible inversions.

Themed after the big, green Marvel comic book character, The Hulk is located on the Marvel Super Hero Island section of Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park.  The ride was fully refurbished in 2016 which included theme modifications, an updated queue, new sections of track and brand new trains with on-board audio.  It is one of the most popular thrill rides at Universal Orlando and a can’t miss sight when visiting the park.

Check out our full, on-ride POV video of the Incredible Hulk Roller Coaster at Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park in Orlando, Florida.

The Incredible Hulk roller coaster is one of the most intense rides at the Universal Orlando Resort and is limited to guests 54 inches or taller.  There is a child swap location so parents with small children can still enjoy this ride.  If you love roller coasters and thrill rides, the Incredible Hulk is one that can’t be missed during your next visit to Universal.

We consider the Hulk roller coaster one of our Top 5 Rides at Universal’s Islands of Adventure and actually it is second on our list, just behind the $300 million Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventures.

No loose items like phones and keys are allowed on the ride so Universal provided lockers just outside of the queue.  There are also metal detectors at the entrance so you can’t sneak anything on – trust us, we have tried.

Since wait times will easily exceed 45 to 60 minutes on a typical summer day, it is highly recommended to visit this attraction as early as possible or use the Universal Express benefit.  There is also a single rider line but has not been available since the park reopened in June 2020.

So do you think you can handle the Incredible Hulk roller coaster?  Is it near the top of the list of your favorite coaster?  Let us know your thoughts in the comments of our YouTube video shown above.

The Universal Resort has a number of great on-site hotels and each and every one of them have their own benefits, characteristics and price points.

There are multiple “categories” of hotels but the highest quality on-site hotels are the Premier Hotels.  Premier hotels are Universal’s premium hotels that have the highest quality amenities & accommodations, the closest locations to the theme parks and largest amount of on-site hotel benefits.

What sets Premier hotels apart is that they provide a free Universal Express pass to every guest staying in the room.  Universal Express allows guests to skip the regular lines and ride the most popular rides as many times as they would like.  Once you get used to Universal Express, you will never want to visit a theme park without one.

In addition Universal’s Premier hotels and resorts, there are a number of other on-site and off-site hotels options.  Click here to learn more about hotels in the Universal Orlando area.
