The Hyatt Regency Orlando International Drive is one of the best hotels located near the Orange County Convention Center and minutes from World Disney World, the Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando. With elevated walkways to both convention center courses, the Hyatt is one of the premier hotels for business travelers.

Located in the heart of Orlando along International Drive, this two tower 1,642 room hotel is within walking distance to dozens of restaurants, shops and entertainment venues. Originally constructed in 1986 as The Peabody Orlando, a 31-story wing was constructed in 2010, effectively doubling the size of the hotel.  Hyatt Hotels has owned and operated the property since 2013.

Amenities at the property include two outdoor pools, one with a water slide and children’s splash pad, daily poolside activities, a 24-hour fitness center with classes, a full-service business center, rooftop tennis court, bicycle rentals and a full-service spa and salon. There are six individual food & beverage options and the hotel features 315,000 square feet of meeting & event space.

The Location of the Hyatt Regency Orlando

The Hyatt Regency Orlando is located near the Orange County Convention Center along the International Drive tourist corridor.  Access to the hotel is fairly simple as there is an interchange at SR 528 from Interstate 4, less than five minutes to the hotel.  Additionally, the hotel is  fairly close to the the Orlando area theme parks and several of Orlando’s major shopping & entertainment destinations.

It will take travelers about 15 minutes to get to the hotel from the Orlando International Airport and as indicated above, is immediately adjacent to the Orlando / Orange County Convention Center.  

In addition to what is offered on-site, there are several restaurants and retail venues within a very short distance along International Drive including the Capital Grill, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, Maggiano’s Little Italy and Miller’s Ale House.

Theme parks and other local destinations are short distance to the hotel.  Per Google Maps, travel time is as follows (non-peak hours):

The 10,000 square foot Grotto Pool features a beach style entry and includes a waterslide, kiddie pool and poolside cabanas.  The Olympic sized Terrace Pool is located on a roof deck near the front of the hotel.  This pool is perfect for laps and includes a shallow wading area for children.

Organized activity are offered on a daily basis and include pool noodle races, hula hoop contests, water balloon toss and animal float races.

Poolside cabanas feature a couch & two Chase lounge chairs, television, mini-refrigerator, a ceiling fan, secure storage and a $25 food & beverage voucher.

Fitness Center
