The Walt Disney World Railroad (Magic Kingdom)

Recently reopened after a four-year hiatus, the Walt Disney World Railroad takes riders on a 1.5 mile tour that circles the Magic Kingdom. The WDW Railroad first opened back in 1971 and is one of the originally opening day attractions at the Magic Kingdom. There are four vintage steam trains that were originally built between 1916 and 1928 that make stops at the park entrance near Main Street, U.S.A., Frontierland and Fantasyland. When Disney started builing the TRON Lightcycle / Run attraction the Railroad had to close so a new tunnel could be constructed. And as indicated above, it only took four years to do so.
