Just adjacent to Disney Springs along Hotel Plaza Boulevard and East Buena Vista Drive, there area several resort hotels located on the grounds of the Walt Disney World Resort that comprise the Disney Springs Resort area.  

While technically not considered “on-site” Disney hotels and not owned by Disney, these resorts are “Official” Walt Disney World hotels which provide a several benefits that are not offered outside of on-site Disney properties. When considering where to stay when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, these hotels should be on any savvy travelers short list.

  • EXCLUSIVE PASSPORT: Guests staying at a Disney Springs Resort Area hotel enjoy a free passport which provides discounts at select Disney Springs retailers and eateries.
  • THEME PARK TICKETS: There are staffed ticket service desks in each hotel where guests can buy theme park tickets.
  • ADVANCED TEE TIMES: Guests staying at Disney Springs Resort Area hotels can reserve a tee time up to 90 days in advance on any of the four championship golf courses at Walt Disney World.  Discounts on greens fees are also available.

Since “on-site” Disney hotels are not part of a hotel rewards programs, guests that are members of the individual Disney Resort Area Hotel loyalty programs (ie: Hilton Honors, IHG Rewards Club, Wyndham Rewards, etc) can earn points while still be able to enjoy great benefits.

About Disney Springs

Disney Springs is an outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment complex that is part of the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando Florida.  This massive 120-acre development was originally constructed in 1975 at the Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village but was expanded in 2013 to its current form today.

There are more than 100 stores, 60 restaurants and a host of attractions & entertainment venues throughout it’s four individual neighborhood areas, each of which has its own style and design.  Most stores are open from 10:AM to 11:PM with select restaurants / attractions open until 2:AM.

The Location of the Disney Resort Area Hotels

There are multiple ways to get to the Disney Springs Resort Area from Interstate 4. Guests can take exit 67 (Epcot Center Drive) and follow the signs to East Buena Vista Drive / Disney Springs which is the first right turn when on the exit ramp. Before entering Disney Springs make a right turn onto East Buena Vista Drive.

An additional route (which may be easier) would be to exit Interstate 4 from exit 68 (Apopka Vineland Road / SR 535) and head north to Hotel Plaza Boulevard.  Make a left on Hotel Plaza Boulevard and 6 of the 7 hotels will be along this road.

The Walt Disney Word theme parks and water parks are just minutes away and Disney Springs is within walking distance. Disney Springs is within walking distance from each of these hotels. There is a pedestrian bridge over Hotel Plaza Boulevard and East Buena Vista Drive which provides easy access to the Marketplace section.

The other Orlando area theme parks and tourist destinations are also a short distance away.  Per Google Maps, travel time is as follows (non-peak hours):

  • SeaWorld Orlando: Approximately 10 minutes.
  • The Universal Orlando Resort: Approximately 20 minutes.
  • The Orange County Convention Center: Approximately 10 minutes
  • Downtown Orlando: Approximately 25 minutes.
  • Vineland Premium Outlets: Less than 10 minutes.

There are a number of restaurants and shops (outside of Disney Springs) along Apopka Vineland Road and a grocery anchored shopping center is less than 10 minute away.

Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista

The Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista at Disney Springs features 814 deluxe rooms and suites on 23-acres and is a AAA Four-Diamond resort hotel.  Originally build in 1983, the 10-story property recently underwent a $25 million renovation.

The amenities and features of the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista at Disney Springs include:

  • Two resort pools with a poolside restaurant & bar.
  • Seven total dining and lounge options from grab & go to fine dining as well as Disney Character breakfasts.
  • 24-hour fitness center.

Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace

The Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace is a 1,011-room resort located on 27 acres that was originally opened in 1983.  Starting in 2015 the hotel underwent a comprehensive $45 million renovation including the addition of a lazy river pool.

DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando

The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando at Disney Springs is a 229-all suite resort that is located on the northern most area of Hotel Plaza Boulevard.  The amenities and features of the DoubleTree include:

Holiday Inn Orlando Lake Buena Vista

The Holiday Inn Orlando Lake Buena Vista a 323-room hotel that is located in the heart of the Disney Springs Resort Area.  The amenities and features of the Holiday Inn include:

Wyndham & Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista

The Wyndham & Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista is a 626-room hotel property that underwent a property wide renovation in 2010 to all guest rooms, the lobby, restaurants, pool and and common areas.   

The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is a 19-story tower property with Disney Springs views while the Wyndham Garden offers rooms in a five-story courtyard building.

The amenities and features of the Wyndham Garden include:

  • Resort style pool with pool playground / interactive water features 
  • Five dining and lounge options including poolside dining
  • State-of-the-art fitness center
  • Video arcade / game room

Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando Lake Buena Vista

The Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando Lake Buena Vista officially opened for guests in December 2022 and features 602 rooms and 17,000 square feet of meeting and event space.  

Amenities include a a free hot breakfast, heated resort style pool with splash pad, a poolside cantina bar & grill, grab & go marketplace, business center, fitness center and complimentary shuttle service to the Walt Disney World theme parks.

Room prices start from approximately $150 per night depending on the time of year. There is a no resort fee at the Drury Plaza Hotel and self-parking costs $25 per day.
